The SIRIO pressure regulator is a device which controls the start-up and stopping of a pump (based on the converter technology).
It is therefore able to modulate the frequency of the current which supplies the motor, in order to to alter the engine speed, depending on the water demand of the installation.
Thus pressure is maintained with a constant value, while at the same time motor consumption is in proportion to the needs of the installation (allowing for saving).

Conditions of use :

Setting for max. operating pressure: 2 to 7 bar.
Setting for start-up pressure: 1 to 6 bar.
Max. pressure permissible: 8 bar.
Max. flow rate: 150 l/mn.
Max. temperature of liquid: 50° C.
Level of protection : IP55.

Design principle:
When a tap is opened, Sirio starts up the pump and maintains constant pressure in the network, even if there is a variation in flow.
When the tap is closed, Sirio stops the pump.
It also protects the pump and stops it if there is a water shortage, which avoids all the damage caused by dry-running.
The automatic reset function, in the case of water shortage, allows for regular testing to check for water on suction.
In the event of small leaks, Sirio sends an alert message onto the display screen and a light signal appears.
If the leak becomes significant, to the point of starting up the electro-pump too often, Sirio stops the motor. One can choose whether or not to display the automatic reset or leak control functions.
As a result of its luminous display with 16 characters and its easy-to-use multi-language menu, Sirio is easy to program and set.
Electrical connection is quick and easy, due to the removable terminal blocks with screws.
Thermal protection should be provided upstream of the unit.
